The funny thing is that I kind of just fell into this business. I used to consult for large corporations (AT&T, Mellon Bank, US Steel, DiMark, etc.) full time. Then I got married and had kids, and I chose to be available full-time to my family. But all the while, I was helping family and friends with their technical needs. It had been suggested to me over and over to make a business of it. Honestly, I couldn't imagine it. But as my kids became more independent, I threw an ad in my local newspaper. I was overwhelmed with calls. So here I am. I'm absolutely loving it. I'm now one of those people who looks forward to going to work.
